Workshop
Beyond individual sessions, Julia offers group workshops that are designed to build collective resilience, connection, and transformation. These gatherings create space for shared learning, nervous system support, and embodied practices that foster deeper presence, regulation, and healing within community.

Practice weekend with Sage Hayes
Hudson, NY
Friday May 9th, 530-730pm: Potluck dinner
Saturday May 10th 9-5pm
Sunday May 11th 9-4pmA chance to build capacity for the intangibles, the intuitive, the intentional in our sessions.
Emergent Somatic Practice is a collaborative learning weekend for a multidisciplinary group of body-based practitioners who want to practice the commitment that: when the intention is to heal, the body shows the way.
Starting on Friday with a potluck dinner, we'll spend Sat & Sunday in embodied practice together.
In this experiential workshop we will open our capacity as somatic practitioners to work with emergent somatic material arising in our sessions. We'll explore the 5 points on the somatic practice compass:
Anchoring in our practitioner body. Moving from our wisdom and deep trust of the client’s innate inner medicine. Moving from an invitational stance and at the speed of trust.
Clarifying and kindling client intentions to animate a collaborative map of healing.
Increasing our capacity for utilization of the ‘sacred pause’ and uncertainty
Learning to listen for non-cognitive somatic cues and clues. Discerning between movements of adaptive habit or movements of health. How to spot energetic willingness.
Translating somatic information into experiential exploration and spontaneous activities.
For practitioners of all kinds

A percentage of proceeds from this workshop will go to support an innovative queer/bipoc project focused on local healing work in the Hudson area.
It's an invitation beyond the practitioner's brain, into a wider aperture for what wants to emerge in work with clients. We'll be a multidisciplinary group of healing practitioners who want to expand collaborative possibilities and lean out of the dominant role.

PAST: Bodies are Webs of Choice & Freedom
Join Julia and Char for a day of somatic learning and exploration
We discuss the Circle Model, a nonhierarchical understanding of our body's stress responses through a critical power lens. We explore accessing more choice and freedom in our stress responses. Then, using myofascial release principles, we practice freeing fascia's patterns of stuckness. We'll build friendly familiarity with our fascia.
After lunch, we practice the body's natural ability to tremor - to increase embodied freedom! Our time on the therapeutic tremor includes a demonstration, several practice opportunities and 1:1 support as you try the tool out for yourself. This is the Resilience Toolkit (not TRE) version of the therapeutic tremor, which is a short practice intended for reset.
Join to:
- Feel our individual and collective webs of freedom
- Receive 4 pages of take home somatic tools
- Practice a tool for applying myofascial principles at home on any part of the body
- Learn the therapeutic tremor & start a home tremor practice
- Increase appreciation for our bodies and the choices we have
In person Feb 1, 10am-3pm.

Apologies Workshop
Holding on to hurt - that we caused or that we experienced - is like tensing a muscle.
The tension pulls on everything around it, limiting movement, breath, and ease.
Practicing myofascial release invites hydration, movement, and integration into our tissues - and opens up the possibilities of apologies doing the same thing in our relationships.
When genuine apology is offered, it’s like applying gentle attention to that knot, allowing it to soften and create space. The nervous system shifts from bracing into relief, making room for new possibilities.
Apologies can feel like releasing a deep knot in the body.
This is a hands-on, experiential practice workshop combining myofascial massage techniques with apology skills.
Expect to interact in-depth and to give & receive live feedback. We'll have plenty of tea & snacks, and move at the pace that our group co-creates.
