Somatic Experiencing
What is it? A way of working with your nervous system to increase resilience and capacity to enjoy the present. We’ll invite your body in as a partner and part of the conversation. By slowing down and noticing things together, overwhelm and trauma can be more easily integrated, leaving you with more choice in how to respond.
What does it look like? Sessions may or may not involve touch, are done fully clothed, and can happen in-person or virtually. With your intention as our guide, I’ll support what you to notice, providing suggestions and education. We’ll learn how your nervous system moves or gets stuck, and engage with resources as they naturally arise within you. This could include self-touch, imagined touch, my touch, or sensing inward.
